POCUS IN LOCUS REMOTUS 
The Educational sessions are designed to entertain and engage enthusiastic POCUS practioners from many specialties, including Rural Hospitalists , Emergency Doctors, Physicians, community doctors and Nurse practitioners .

Cardiac POCUS
2:Dr Chris Wong - Echocardiologist and Anaesthetist 
Chris is a full time Anaesthetist in Whangarei Hospital Northland. He also has a qualification in Echocardiography and runs Echo clinics for our local population . 








His Topic is : Echocardiography the ED 
Transthoracic echocardiography is extremely valuable for decision making in the ED.It is an invaluable tool for diagnosing the undifferentiated patient. Furthermore, it can help with the management of patients. Focussed echo is tool that an emergency physician can defiantly add to their skill set .

Anyone who practices POCUS in New Zealand in the Emergency or rural setting , knows who Wendy Finnie is as she has taught most of us ! As well as running the cardiac workshop on day two Wendy is going to talk about the right heart

Things that make you go hmmmmmm 
Phil is an early adopter of advanced POCUS in NZ and has been practicing and teaching POCUS for, well a while ! He has recently finished a sabbatical working in a Paediatric echo lab .

3: ORGAN SPOTLIGHT 1 and 2 
Jade and  Debby are Ultrasonographers in Whangarei Hospital. Debby  is our lead sonographer and brings many years of experience to the Ultrasond department in Whangarei Hospital . Jade has also been working  as an Ultrasonographer in our DHB for several years and brings her experience and charm to this ultrasound teaching day in Tutukaka .

4: POCUS in RURAL HOSPITALS and Urgent Care .
 Dr Kelvin Ward, Dr Jill Gibson, Dr Alan Murray 
Bringing the conference to a close three Doctors will each give us case based talk from POCUS at the front line
Kelvin is a community and urgent care doctor who works in Wellington and is a leader in POCUS in an urgent care environment 
Jill and Alan are rural Hospitalists who both work in Kawakawa Hospital Northland. 

The talks should end in just enough time to stroll across to Schnappa rock for pre dinner drinks followed by fine dinning . Make sure you book your tickets !
